In the Pacific Northwest where the mountains meet the sea, Orca’s breach from the water like dancing spirits and the Eagles fly free.

From nature comes whisperings to the gourds to preserve their voices for all time. listening to these whispers I get my inspirations and let the gourds guide me through my artwork.

 

I like to allow the natural beauty of the gourd itself to show through, sometimes being lucky enough to find scenes waiting to be brought out by enhancing them with the process of woodburning, (pyrography), while maintaining a reflective spirit for nature. Gourds are a part of that nature, Gourds are my chosen canvas to share what I have seen and what I feel.

Whether it is doing Pacific Northwest’s nature, Pacific Northwest style Indian Art of the First Nation or Hawaiian Theme, Gourd Crafting or Gourd Art, working on Gourds gives me peace.
